About Elizabeth

Elizabeth diGiacomantonio is a contemporary artist and art therapist in New York’s Hudson Valley.

Inspired by memory and emotional exploration, she creates abstract paintings and works on paper that are marked by use of color and sensitivity to layering and movement, which gives her work a sense of energy and depth.

Elizabeth is a graduate of both Pratt Institute and Parsons School of Design. Her intuitive approach to art has allowed her to develop deeply personal and expressive compositions.

In addition to her work as an artist, Elizabeth is a trained art therapist who uses the creative process to help others explore and express their emotions. Her deep understanding of art as a healing tool informs her own practice as an artist, and she often incorporates elements of her art therapy work into her work.

Elizabeth’s studio practice is located in the Hudson Valley, where she draws inspiration from the natural beauty and rich artistic traditions of the region.
